|
With the advent of the digital era, many have wanted to see the birth not only of new filmmaking methods, but also of new ways to watch cinema. Possibilities for new cinematographic production processes are now accessible, new aesthetic trends and new narrative and acting methods have also emerged. Cinema is not what it used to be anymore, and for this reason, new means and methods to commercialize films have also been opened: new distribution channels as well as new ways of screening the films. New, new, new......remaining at a standstill when it comes to the old film industry model of the last century is like closing you eyes to the future. For this reason we either invent or we make mistakes.

1. The term “Cine Chico” makes reference to the means with which a film is shot. And in this case, we are talking about scarce resources..., from the human team as well as the technical team standpoints.
2. Cine Chico has nothing to do with the budget of the film. It is wide off the mark to think that reference is made to the scarcity of the budget. Films can be made with a lot of money or with little (depending, among other things, on whether they pay or not). |

I love the terminology 40mm to refer to the projection of HD. I think it is a wise move using digital expression. To us, in the Festivalito, it is just a technical trick. Our compliments for the term, and from now on, we will add this terminology to our dictionary... |
