The time has come to break the chains of an outdated, withered and boring system. We are sick of so much mental laziness and lack of imagination. Our goals can only be achieved through the subversion of the pre-existent order. We do not have anything to lose, except for the chains holding us down.

Every summer we celebrate in the Canary Islands, on the island of La Palma, the old revolutionary dream. And today, the weapons that celluloid has used to dominate cinema for more than a century, are now being used against them. At the same time they have bred the men who have used new tools to tell stories through images.

The digital avant-garde, represented mainly through cine chico, has been able to resuscitate the seventh art: a new productins system, new aesthetic trends, a new narrative, new performance methods, new distribution and exhibition channels.... The Festivalito is an action plan for this new cinematographic revolution.
Bread, Cinema and Democracy!

The Festivalito is a spot for meeting up and creating for all of those that believe in the establishment of a new order in the cinematographic industry. Avant-garde cinema an cinema that belongs to everyone and that is for everyone; fiction, animation, documentaries; feature films, short films; independent films, blockbusters; cinema inside of cinema, on the beach, in a volcano.

We are happy on the island of La Palma, "isolated", far away from the opulence of the red carpets. We are guerrillas that like to be surrounded by simple people (if you are not like this you have come to the weong place), who enjoy and have fun making films.If you are like this, welcome to our cinematographic community, and let us invite you to setting free the subversive struggle of imagination..., radically breaking traditional cinematographic ideas.

Who is not interested in demonstrating that something is happening in the film industry? Who is interested in the fact that cinema still is a static art and it subsists brooding over memories? Who is interested in the fact that the copies still cost so much?

We cannot stay quiet!

The future is ours. Fellow comrades, The time has come for the real revolution! This is our revolution, the revolution of the town. A town that is creating a big commotion, a town that no one can stop from speaking up.
